Attorney

Austin Maul has been practicing law since graduating from UNLV's Boyd School of Law in 2020.  Austin began his career working in big law where he worked on dozens of complex, high-stakes litigation cases ranging from high-profile contract disputes for Strip casinos and world-famous celebrities to high-dollar cases in construction, consumer protection, probate, and more.

After spending two years of practice at the nation's fastest growing big law firm and being named one of the Best Up and Coming Attorneys in Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine, Austin decided to shift the focus of his legal work. Instead of working on corporate litigation at a big firm, Austin—an entrepreneur and family man—wanted to begin helping individuals and small businesses navigate their legal obstacles and achieve their goals. Since June 2022, Austin has been doing just that—and so much more!

Austin now maintains a diverse and successful legal practice focusing primarily on aviation law, business transactions, and estate planning, where the client and their needs always come first.

Pilot

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Austin graduated from Rancho High School where he was a private pilot and aeronautical engineering double major in the aviation magnet program.  An aviation enthusiast his entire life, Austin began flying in high school but put his dreams to fly on hold to pursue his law degree.

After an 11-year furlough, Austin and his wife Tori bought their first airplane and Austin quickly obtained his private, instrument, commercial, and multi-engine ratings en route to becoming a certified flight instructor. Austin currently instructs at Cactus Aviation out of Henderson Executive Airport and flies second-in-command in various private jets.

Academic

Austin's drive to excel in everything he does began at an early age and is reflected in his academic achievements. â€‹â€‹

Law School: UNLV Boyd School of Law

Austin graduated law school magna cum laude (top 10% of his class) and was selected to each of the Boyd School of Law's most prestigious organizations: the Nevada Law Journal and the "Society of Advocates" Moot Court team. Austin earned spots in these organizations by being one of the top writers, oral advocates, and legal researchers in his class. Other accolades Austin earned in law school include:

  • Dean's Award graduation award.

  • 7 CALI awards for the highest grade in a course (second-most CALI awards in his graduating class).

  • Dean's Merit Scholarshipthe UNLV Boyd School of Law's most prestigious scholarship award.

Husband

Austin met his wife Tori during their freshman year at Arizona State University in 2013. Both were members of the marching band and Tori caught Austin's eye immediately during pre-season band camp. With more than 450 people in the band, Austin spent months trying to find a way to talk to Tori to no avail. Finally, they ran into each other at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport as they were both flying back to their respective hometowns for Fall Break. As fate would have it, their flights were at the same time and their gates were next to each other. Tori was sitting at the table in between the gates, Austin finally approached her, and the rest is history.

Austin and Tori dated throughout college and got married during Austin's second year of law school in 2018. Together they have traveled to numerous countries, nearly every U.S. state, every MLB ballpark, and more than 20 National Parks. Tori is a proud flight attendant for Southwest Airlines and also a private pilot.

Musician, Athlete, & Palm Tree

Austin began playing the tuba in 6th grade and achieved the pinnacle of his musical career when he was selected to participate in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band—an honor reserved for the 120 best high school musicians in the country. This honor was followed by countless offers from prestigious universities across the country, and Austin ultimately decided to attend Arizona State on tuba and academic scholarships. Austin still plays the tuba routinely to this day.

Austin is also an avid sports fan and athlete. Austin was the kicker on his high school football team and continues to play softball, hike, and go outdoor rock climbing at Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas. Austin is a lifelong Boston sports fan and has traveled to Boston on many occasions to see his beloved Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics.

Whether you know it or not, you have probably seen Austin perform before. He performed with the Sun Devil Marching Band before Super Bowl XLIX and was a palm tree in Katy Perry's halftime show that same day—the most-watched televised event in U.S. history from 2015-2023.
